ellie! - 32 - she/her - aquaphile - kinky writer - aspiring mermaid with the funny brain - talk to me about our OCs bubbling together c:
Naia
(she/her)
Perhaps the strongest woman around, regardless of where "around" is. Semi-retired prizefighter. Former champion. Abs haver. Mother of seven (three Zoruas and four Mudkips). Loves sailing, diving, and breathholding. Never skips a chance to push her limits, and very, VERY competitive to a fault. Naia is a Zoroark cis lady of many talents, though her huge power and intimidating presence hide a carefree and chill attitude towards life. (Autographs and pictures are free.) Learned most combat skills from that scruffy old guy Rio, except the aquaphilia, which she unabashedly enjoys.

Mira
(she/her)
A Braixen trans girl, anxious and self-doubting yet determined to protect those she loves. In her spare time, she scavenges for valuable goodies on the seafloor, albeit not as efficiently as other Pokemon given her below-average breathhold. Still, a desire to improve and become reliable has fueled her ever since she started dating Lily... Has had a deep fascination with the depths, monofins and mermaids since she was a little Fennekin. Her skills have been refined to the point that she can even use fire-type moves underwater, though she'd still rather avoid and stall her way out of fights first. Fun fact: Unfathomably flustered about paws.

Lily
(she/her)
A rather protective and mature cis lady. As a full-time and well-trained lifeguard, this Floatzel's always ensuring that those around her stay safe, though she doesn't always do a great job keeping herself safe. Usually takes a leadership role in the group. Likes to test her breathholds against others; her 8-minute record means she can go toe-to-toe against even Naia. Lily became interested in underwater scavenging and exploration around the time she evolved into a Floatzel. Most of her skills improved at that time; her sense of direction was not one of them. This deterred her from tackling the most dangerous deep-sea quests alone... At least until she met her darling Mira. Admittedly, she dotes on her and pampers her a bit too much. Not that it's a bad thing.
Riley
(she/her)
A joyful and rather chaotic Vaporeon cis gal, with a penchant for pranks and good/bad puns. Does not seem to care about clothing very much, meaning she swims around exposing her fat cookie and a nice set of tummy nipples pretty often. As a strict water-breather, she can't wander on land for long, but she does enjoy pushing it. However, due to some unexplainable quirk of hers, she also can't breathe deep seawater without feeling some... odd effects. Iris has remarked that it's like a mix of being drunk and high, and somehow napping helps. That's good news for the pike-patterned Vaporeon, who is often seen giving surprise raspberries to clueless swimmers.
Iris
(she/her)
A rather well-known Primarina trans lady, a scientist and host of her infrequent aquaphilic column "Iris Asks". Much like her other science-brained friends, Iris has long sought the secret to perfecting breathable liquids, but the exact formulas and materials needed have usually eluded her... Mildly obsessed with latex, full-body suits, and breathing apparatuses. Even though she's been a Primarina for a while, she's still not used to her large size, and tends to bump into stuff, forgetting she's pretty heavy. The land side of the world is very accessible for Pokemon like her, thankfully. You won't forget her midwestern accent anytime soon.
Azul
(he/him)
An introverted and effeminate Lopunny cis guy. Can't swim very well, but he goes out of his way to love the water anyway. Has, ahem, some "experience" running a "workplace". Very easily flustered and embarrassed, and unfortunately very cute when it happens. Has a wide collection of cosplay outfits, some showing more skin than others. He's proud of his more feminine side while still feeling 100% comfortable being a guy, despite how much jeering he faced back in the day from some rather rash Pokemon. It can still psych him out, but it helps to have supportive (and teasy) friends.
Vance
(he/him)
A large and imposing Swampert cis guy. Despite his menacing appearance and tendency to speak in a rumbling voice, he's very laid-back. Speaks in short sentences and mostly keeps to himself, although he has found a more social side ever since he knocked up Naia. Having seven kids to take care of will do that to you. Jokes about Naia being an absent mother, but he doesn't really mean it; protecting the seas and putting on exhibition matches takes up lots of time! He also happens to be one of very few Pokemon out there who can out-muscle the Zoroark, a fact that tends to rile them both up whenever she stops by...
Kira
(it/its)
A mind-melted, grandiose demigod of the deep. Kira, more classically known as Kyogre, was the protector of the seas in ancient times. However, for reasons that have yet to be understood, its mind was irreversibly altered by centuries (or even millennia) of appeasing the ocean's denizens. It attained delusions of grandeur and hedonist streaks so potent and vast that it put a plan in motion to flood the world as it once was in its primal days. It sought to take the remnants of Team Aqua and slowly reform them into an aquaphilic cult, forcing all its members to be transformed into the dreaded aquadrones, solely focused on turning others with muffled giggles. Kira itself stands at an absurdly tall ten feet or so, and its feral form is considerably larger still. Its boyfriend/personal toy for some time was Azul.
Saki
(she/her)
A serious and reliable Sneasel trans girl. She's a spy and an infiltrator who's worked for several shady and unnamed stealth and espionage operations, most of them requiring her to sneak into aquatic bases, cause diversions, or blend in as a soldier (her most well-known alter ego is Sasha, the Neo Team Aqua rookie). She was often paired up with Lynn serving as mission guide and planner until the Dragonair grew skittish about that lifestyle. Nowadays, she goes solo often. There's rumors that she had even more dangerous jobs back in the day, judging by her years of experience as a ninja in rural corners of the world. Funny little breathing pipe not included.
Lynn
(she/her)
A nerdy and water-minded Dragonair trans girl. She's great with tech, a part-time pro hacker, and very science-minded. Part of a scientist friend group. She also loves getting herself in Situations underwater, even when (or especially when) she pushes herself further than what is usually safe... Has a serious interest in breathable liquids, and definitely not just for kinky reasons. Although she's bi (like most of my OCs), she seems to be especially attracted to big, beefy guys, or at least very serious and reliable ones. I think that's cute.
Jen
(she/her)
A jittery and soft-spoken Audino cis girl. Jen recently became scuba-certified and she's put her newfound skills to good use, exploring unseen corners of every region from the cold waters of Sinnoh to the sprawling reefs of Alola. A reluctant aquaphile who doesn't always feel comfortable exploring this side of herself, but enjoys it more when she can bounce off of her friends Iris, Lynn, Riley and (sometimes) Morgan. Unexpectedly well-known for being more on the chubby side, even for an Audino, a trait that leads to playful teasing and plenty of self-love. Her exact type of scientific prowess is not entirely clear, but she's certainly smart enough to prove her worth.
Juno
(she/her)
An Alolan Vulpix cis gal, and tiny even as an adult, as expected of her species. A childhood friend of Sage and Phoebe. Juno's always been the most extroverted, passionate, and oddly foulmouthed member of the trio. From an early age, Juno felt the itch to explore beyond her lonely little corner of the world. She usually leads the way when cooking up plans for the day, though she can't always handle it if said plans go awry. She may not always show it due to her haughty, smug attitude, but Juno cares deeply about her friends, and she'd never say or do anything actually hurtful. She also has a tendency to miscalculate when it's time to get through tight spaces, even though she's very small as is, and get stuck. ...Is she doing it on purpose??
Sage
(he/him)
A clever and smart Leafeon trans guy. He's close friends with Juno and Phoebe since childhood, and they helped take care of him when he first came out as a trans guy. A quick thinker, inquisitive and with a talent for improvising plans and strategies, though he's also a tad overconfident, stubborn and unaware of his own limits. One of the most openly aquaphilic characters of mine, he will not miss a chance to get off if some situation is hot enough to call for it, assuming it's not any serious peril. Has an astounding potential for Grass-type combat within him, but he needs to be seriously pushed to his limits to really show it.
Phoebe
(she/it)
A rather secretive and quiet Absol cis girl. She rarely shows any emotion whatsoever, but can sometimes be seen giving a bit of a smile when she's especially comfortable and safe around her dear friends. She's able to have premonitions when there are dangerous situations ahead, but she cannot affect the outcome, only deal with it as she sees fit. Very stoic and relaxed, if aloof and dismissive of others' concerns sometimes. Phoebe is a reliable partner on undersea expeditions, as she'll always remain calm and go with the flow. At least, as long as she doesn't stumble into any Araquanids -- her one true fear -- along the way. She's pretty safe and agreeable around Juno, and very protective of Sage.
Morgan
(she/her)
A reclusive and secretive, yet playful and eager Mawile cis girl. She's hard at work researching respiratory systems, breathable liquids, and other kinky stuff like that. Occasionally part of a scientist friend group, when she leaves her lab at least. VERY interested in knowing more about your lungs. Her maw has some basic non-verbal communication skills, and often gives away her true intentions. Morgan's love for aquatic matters is well known, but she also has a huge thing for stasis tanks, tubes, pods... Part of the reason she researches breathable liquids is to learn how to take long naps in flooded glowing tanks one day -- or even reverse-engineer Kira's lost tech.
Rio
(he/they)
A grizzled and battle-worn Lucario trans man from an age gone by. The one who trained the now-famous Naia... Although he could easily coast through life with that reputation alone, Rio instead chooses the quiet life. He only trains others when there's an itch to do so, and only retreats from his own isolated training when the mild aches of old age start to show (or when he's hungry). In his younger days, he was rumored to be a ruthless, monstrous warrior. Today, among the few who know him well, Rio is a brave, wise and caring master, with a seemingly endless supply of lessons to teach, and stern faces to make. He is, despite it all, a protective sweetheart. Although he can only mantain it for a few minutes, he can still Mega Evolve; his chest spike is fake, and he keeps his Mega Stone hidden there. Likes flannel jackets.
Jiang
(she/her)
An intimidating and asocial Mienshao cis girl who takes her training a little too seriously. Born across the sea but raised in Johto by her strict father, she developed a rebellious streak and never looked back. Rumors abound of her past as a delinquent, petty thief and troublemaker, but despite her scary appearance she's worked hard to improve herself and grow up. Her and Naia trained under the same mentor, but for unknown reasons they loathe each other. She's apparently pretty jealous that Naia's got the stronger lungs and tougher will, but that's just one of the reasons she can't stand her.
Ellie
(she/her)
My very own pokesona! An anxious, precious and pudgy Audino trans gal. Kindhearted and doting, Ellie is a soft-spoken and playful girl who loves making others happy and indulging in her own unusual interests. Though usually a loner with a low social battery, she genuinely loves spending time with those she cares about. She's proud of her curvy shape, strong heart and even stronger lungs (by her standards). She has a bit of a lisp. She can't swim, but she loves the water deeply anyway, relishing every chance to dunk herself in a pool. She has lavender-and-white patterns on her fur, and well-kept long hair that reaches down to her butt. Will blush if you call her a shortstack. Usually seen wearing turtleneck sweaters or sundresses... but no undergarments?? She's a little adventurous...
